Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is one of the rare gems of the PNW each spring. Within sight of majestic Mt. Hood on a clear day, acres of vibrant blooms aligned in perfect rows provide a photographic opportunity not to be equaled!

Join me and other like-minded artists for a truly unique photography experience out in the blooms! We'll have access to the field at hours not normally available to photographers. We'll be starting well before sunset then shooting through golden hour, sunset, and into blue-hour. For those interested, we'll play around with some light painting techniques. For this workshop specifically, and weather permitting, the die-hards will have the option to stay very late to shoot stars or even the Milky Way! (Yes, there's light pollution, but on a clear night the Milky Way is clearly visible over the rows of tulips!) There will be no moon this evening, improving our chances of experiencing a stellar night!

We'll tailor the experience to the skill level of each participant with plenty of one-on-one interaction as we work on basic camera techniques, composition, and exposure.

We will be shooting rain or shine... If it's really bad, like the vendor tents are blowing across the fields bad, we'll work on setting up an alternate date.

What to bring/etc.:

• Camera and lenses

• Tripod

• Remote trigger (if possible, not required)

• Shoes that can get muddy, or boots!

• Flashlight

• Snacks to fuel the artist inside you
