The Green Sox first of four tournament games was a hard-fought match-up vs. the Scapoose Tribe. We had gorgeous weather on a a pristine diamond at Hood View Park. Game time was 6:20 PM so we had some very nice light for some action photography.
These Scapoose boys held the Green Sox to one of their lowest scoring games this entire season. There were great defensive plays by both teams.
One of the highlights was when young Mr. Anderson smacked a solid line drive right past (possibly under) the short stop. On the astro turf this ball kept right on going until it came to rest against the 300 foot fence. Anderson took a brisk jog around the bases and was in standing up with plenty of time to spare. This was his second home run of the season but the first in-the-park style.
